Alternative Investment Management is an experienced property fund manager focusing on the creation and management of investment opportunities for sophisticated investors, primarily in the alternative and special purpose property sectors.
INVESTMENTS
We source and manage our own property investment opportunities, primarily in the alternative and special purpose property sectors.
In the creation and management of our investment vehicles, we always seek to align the interests of all parties, whilst also providing returns in a form most suitable to investors.
Our key considerations include the balance between capital growth and income, the timing of cash flows throughout the investment term and the extent, timing and nature of taxation and other benefits.
Where appropriate we also structure our investments to meet both domestic and international investors’ short and long-term requirements.
PARTNERING
In addition to managing our own investments, we also assist others to do the same.
For advisors with their own existing client base or boutique fund managers, we can advise on structure, prepare all required offer documentation (e.g. information memorandums and product disclosure statements), and assist with the presentation of the opportunity to potential investors.

PEOPLE
Grant Ross
Grant has over 25 years of experience in funds management and investment. Over this period, he has been responsible for the establishment and management of investment funds spanning the debt, equity, property and alternative asset classes. Grant also acts as an advisor to or sits on the investment committees of a number of third-party property and debt funds.
Tim Killian
Tim has over 20 years of experience in the funds management and superannuation sectors in Australia, the United States and United Kingdom. He specialises in real estate acquisitions, divestments, investment management, new product development, risk management and compliance. Tim acts as a responsible manager or key person on a number of Australian financial services licences.
Margie Roberts
Margie has over 20 years of experience in the funds management and banking sectors. She has held senior positions in organisations that have provided a broad range of financial services to retail, wholesale, construction, property and service industries. This includes the established of accounting, reporting and governance requirements from the initial fund establishment to fund completion.
Judy MacMahon
Judy has over 30 years of experience in financial markets, property funds marketing, and retail & wholesale financial product fundraising & distribution. Judy was responsible for the establishment of growth of a national funds management distribution network that raised in excess of $1 billion in equity over a 5-year period. Simultaneously Judy was responsible for marketing, brand awareness and investor relations.
